Scoob to Skyline?

Scoob to Skyline?
Just lately I've been having dark thoughts about swapping my UK spec Turbo for an R32 Skyline. Has anyone on here done it and regretted it? Am I mad to consider swapping a 5 year old car for a 12/13 year old one?
Your thoughts please.

I went from a 270bhp Uk Turbo (MY99) to a 1993 Twin Turbo Aerotop Supra (~400bhp), then 1995 R33 GTR (~380-400bhp). I'm knackered now, but PM me with any Q's and I'd be glad to answer them................

I'm doing something similar, selling my 2001 WRX to hopefully buy an R33 skyline - which will be 5-6 years older. It will also have approximately 180 BHP more which is the real reason for the change
Keep quite a few £££'s spare incase anything goes wrong as I understand Skylines are even more expensive to fix than scoobs

I went from a classic wrx (scoobyEcu, de-cat, hks exhaust, hks filter etc) to an R32 GTR, my GTR was running 1 bar (impul ecu, decat, impul exhaust etc)
I loved the skyline, preferred the looks, image, engine sound, performance and driving position. Handling was a little bit of a suprise though coming from a pretty idiot proof wrx into something which handles rwd in the bends
I liked the useable 1st gear too, was nice and long
edited to add..
spent a lot of time giving passenger rides though

I think if you get a good one then a r32gtr is one of the coolest cars
they grow on you
ive got one as my weekend toy had evo 6 tme,evo4,sti's wrx's and ra's
but the r32gtr's a modern classic
heres one example
