What car 15K Budget!
Here we go again!
Guys and gals I need help... I've got 15K to spend on a motor...... and i'm finding difficulty thinking of anything i like apart from an Alfa 156 2.4 JTD (175 bhp standard). I want something stylish, comfy(leather ), and not small!!
Dont suggest scoobs or evos cos i already have one!
Please help me!
George
p.s if I buy the alfa my 15K will be worth 6K in 3 years!!! (tried it before )

ok, so not the last word on style (i really like it) but the accord type s is a cracker. although it's not got the prestige of the rest i bought it over the 9-3 aero, a4, c230 sport coupe as it was the better engineered car imo and handled better too.

hmm...a honda accord for 15K?
Alfa 166.... not sure about that.... its too big for me....
Jag...no...i'm too young.
Where can these Audi S4's be bought from then? I've not seen any for under 25K?? It is certainly a car which interests me.

Personally if I was spending a decent amount of money on a car it would have to be either a Merc, Audi or BMW.

i did think about depreciation tbh but i picked up a 20 month old type s with 20k on the clock for £12750 (privately). it will lose arround 50% of its value after 3 years but then that's only £2750 and after that it'll be a linear drop (about £1.5k pa) which is pretty palatable imo.

Not being funny but i would never buy a car because other people said " buy this" Buy that etc .
I buy a car because i like it myself and have a real desire for it not cos other people have said you want to buy one of those.
No disrespect but if you have £15k to spend go with your heart and buy what you really want not what other people want.
Cheers
Paul.

my heart said alfa 156.... test drove the new 2.0 JTS (165 bhp) model with leather etc.... well steering was awesome...much quicker and sharper than the scoobs
But the interior was aweful...even had to ask the salesman whether it had been in an accident!
hmm will keep looking... like the IS200 though!

I will second the IS200 in a SE or Sport guise. The only down sides are poor fuel consumption and quite slow.
Do you like the Leon / Skoda Octavia !?!? I know you can get a brand new Octavia from £13000 @ Motorpoint of Derby.
