Smile Honda Integra Type-R DC5

Hi All

Having had my Integra Type-R DC2 for 2 and a half years its time for a change, Ive thought long and hard about what to get and as I still love my DC2 ive decided on a DC5, im after as much info on getting one as possible, I want a white one with red seats if possible, the only thing that puts me off is the fact they are imports and you dont know where they have been, are they
readily available as Ive only seen one in the flesh and I would have to buy pretty quick as I work 20 miles from home, would Insurance be a lot more (not that bothered really) and where is the best place to get one, looking at spending around 14K, please add anything else you think may help me.

Don't know loads about them, but i definatley would on looks alone. go for it.

P.S I thought you could get new import DC5's !!??

Litchfield imports may well be able to help you, failing that I have a mate that could probably sort you out with one, he's a small importer based in Wales.

I wouldn't go with Litchfield, I know he's done business with a few people on hear but Ian was just too busy to return my callss let alone source me a car.

I took delivery of an 02 DC5 in December and I love it, it's so much easier to live with over the RB5.

I got mine from http://www.gt-culture.com/ and they were excellent, it took 8 weeks from order to delivery. Speak to Ben tell him Mike Griffiths recomended him

Is that 8 weeks for a new one or second hand, not after a new one and defo cant be without a car for 8 weeks.

You can't import the new model yet...
8 weeks is really good for an import so unless you can get 1 that's in stock in the UK then you're going to struggle

Theres a nice one on www.neweraimports.com right now, but its blue not white as you wanted, still its worth a look though, its lovely

Hi A friend of the husband on the Civic Type-R forum is in the process of getting one from here:

They have a good selection and suply the vehicles with a years warrenty. So far he seems very impressed with the service. he even went down and had a proper look round and the cars are immaculate. Might be worth giving them a go.

What's the spec on your DC2 btw as I'm still in the market for one as long as it's MY00, black, [AC + Alarm] with under 35k?

Been there already,

And Mine is 98, White, No A/C with 43K, So not what you are after then.

You would change your ,mind if you saw it though, you just don't get them in this condition.

Integra should be in white, it's the official Honda racing colour, then again I'm biased.

I picked my DC5 up from Langtree Garage in Wigan. http://www.wickedkit.com/

Have a chat with Scott, there service is excellent.

I'll back up that comment about Litchfields, they just never returned my calls as I was trying to part ex my Golf, eventually I got fed up after a week and went to Langtree who quoted me a price over the phone.

I believe they are more to insure than the DC2 on cost alone but £14k will not get you a mint low milage one fro ma dealer.

I wouldn't hang around, if you want one they are going to be extremely sought after this is seen on the track!

Ask around on itr-dc5.com, I post under the same name there.
