Nissan Navara......
Hey,
Apparently they drink fuel when in 4wd mode and have tremendous oversteer potential in 2wd mode (not much traction). A friend has one as a tow car and really enjoys throwing it around. He is a nutter, however.
Cheers,
f

Thanks for the replies. i am looking at one as the Audi estate I have just sold wasn't big enough (dogs, building stuff, etc) and I need the off road capability I had when I had my Jeep Cherokee.
It will also be used as a tow car for the track car so good to hear they tow well.
I also considered the L200 but was advised by a dealer to steer clear of them if I am going to do loads of motorway miles as with only 102bhp they are slow.
Keep the info coming, going to look tomorrow.

I drove a customers Navara... the one with upgraded chasis... Rally Raid I think,
It was a quick enough thing, bouncy ride although not uncomfortable, but oversteered very easily in 2wd mode.
I wasnt hammering it, it just stepped out very easily on a greasy surface....
Nice if you llike that sort of thing.

I forgot to mention that part. The back does let go very very very easily, this cannot be over stated! When I first had it I thought it was just plain dangerous. Put it this way, I never let any of my family drive it in the damp!
I used to drive one on a regular basis, not too bad I guess, very noisey inside, and the cabin seems cramped. Pretty good offroad, and easy to drive round town aswell. I had the choice of having this one or buying a L200 and went for the L200 in the end. Alot quieter inside, the engines have 115bhp and you can get them chipped, from the dealer if you are after warrenty to 145bhp. I did 50000 miles in 10 months in mine, it was perfectly fine on the motorway, round town or offroad. They both drink a lot of fuel, and I mean a lot.
L200 all the way,iv got one and a MR340,get the mitsi power upgrade and youv got 145hp,great workhorses, will tow anything!,if you go for the 2004 warrior you should be able to get a great deal because of the 2005 model out now, although not a lot of difference, basically front bumper, does use a fair bit of diesel but i think all the 4x4 trucks do,oh and the L200 seems to have more of a road presence,if u know what i mean...
