A friend of mine has had a slight bump in his 04 Mercedes CLK Cabrio, the front bumper needed replacing and that was it, but the active rear roll over protection activated and now his roof wont retract as the roll over plates are still in the up position.

Does anybody know if they can be reset without the need for a trip to the dealers and having his pants pulled down over the cost.
