Default 95 Escort, airbag light on

Mate of mine at work has a 1995 (M reg) Escort with a drivers airbag, the light has been staying on but not all the time, anybody seen this before, when it happened on my 2001 Mondeo I just went under the seat and waggled the connectors and it went off (not litterally, the light I mean). Dont know where the control unit is on this one and its a 'family car' (i.e. a dustbin) so I wasnt inclined to start rooting in my work gear.

the solder on the connectors under the seats can dry up after a while so i was advised by a mechanic mate to cut them off and use block connectors when it happened on my 306, it worked though, never had the problem again

disconnect the battery and wait 10 mins first though!

cut and connect one wire at a time though so you don't get mixed up!

hope this is of help m8

Cheers Daz but after much f*cking about I just pulled the instrument binnacle out and removed the bulb, not bothered about not having an airbag but the light does my head in, the cars only there for when I leave it in town or whatever when I dont want to leave my Fiat Coupe.
