Keep looking at the Audi S2 coupe, I used to have a 2.0 16v and it went ok handled ok

Any opinions or previous owners on here - seem good value at around 6k for a 100k example..

A friend of mine has two S2, one of them has been modified with RS2 Head, cams, turbo, ic, exhaust & remapped (chip) and it goes like stink.
standard 2.2, 6 speed box etc
However even in standard form these cars go well.
What year model are you thinking of going for?
saloon or estate?

 

I think (if my memory is correct) that the Audi S2 was Performance Car Of The Year back in 1992/3?

Thinking of the model that comes with the 6 speed box, think that came along 93/94 not sure if 230 as standard. Not really looking to pay anyhmore than 7k.

Just wondered how they compare to scoob handling wise with the 4 wheel drive..

Extra power can be got with an exhaust and chip to 280 so its defo a contender on my list

 

i bought an S2 coupe some years back. Didn't get it checked properly and turned out to be a lemon. crap handling aswell. Part-exed it for a Scooby in 1997.

 

Sorry to hear that mate - was the crap handling in relation to the fact it was a lemon or the car simply handles crap ?

V Interested as most of the dealers up here really have tatty imports for Very inflated prices and I wanted to know if the audi is a contender
