These cars make 250bhp when standard, so what did you do and how much did it cost to get up to those figures?

Only a 964 RS will do, a normal 911 just isnt special enough. I find it hard to justify another 20k on a car that wont go that much better. I would also find it hard treating a 30k car in the same way I do this.

Funny you should ask - this geezer I know offered me an AMD chip for £50 as it did not work in his '89 car properly. It has been in my car for around 10k miles, and been fine.

I can't get the thing off the line anyway to ever test a 0-60 dash, and besides a new clutch would cost £1k.

I hear a lot about pricing on these - personally I dont think you would get a good one for less than 9-10k. Even, within this price range I would expect the car to need some work (paint, tyres, belts service, clutch, air con not working).

Between 10-12k you would find cars with no damage, good service history, all major "bit" have been done, and less than 100k miles.

lol always laff at the 'lethal in the wet'. High powered rear drive cars are only lethal in the wet if there's a crap driver behind the wheel who has no sense.

Lethal in the snow of course
