Just got my car back!

This is what I had done to it.
Here are the specs:
Garrett GT28 water-cooled turbo
0.60 A/R compressor, 0.64 A/R turbine
16" x 8" x 2.5" intercooler
cast iron manifold
2.5" downpipe
silicone hose connectors
constant torque hose clamps
Pro comp 20psi boost guage
Cold air intake setup
FM Link replacement ECU
4-wire Bosch O2 sensor
440 cc injectors
FM all-metal sequential blowoff valve
Its currently running at 8psi, but I have some fine tuning to do, so I will be turning it up to 12psi soon. At the mo I reckon its good for 190bhp at the wheels. And before anyone asks its an Mk1 MX5

sure go here for my cardomain page: http://miata.cardomain.com/id/bencartland
At 12psi I want to be aiming for 230bhp at the wheels, that should keep me out of trouble!!!

Yeah, a base intercooled Avo kit with with uprated clutch and timing device you are looking at 2.5-3k. Non intercooled HKS kits are cheaper, you are looking at 2k with a piggyback ecu.
The kit I have gone for is the Flyin' Miata 2, this comes with the MX5 specific Link ecu, it is pretty much as far as you can go without swapping out pistons and rods. This kit is 4k + clutch.
In total with roll bar, wheels, exhaust, and turbo the car owes me 10k. Which to be honest I dont think is too bad for a quick light sports car which is a daily driver and a track day car!

Is it not possible to stick a 323 Turbo engine in as a straight swap and save cash?
BTW a forced induction MX5 is the car Mazda should have made in the first place. Very nice.

The 323 engine swap is tough one, due to the 4x4 trans, and I think its transversly mounted too (correct me if I'm wrong). If your gonna swap the easiest engine is the v8 5.0 ford engine from the early '90's Mustangs. It slots right in and can be supercharged! Which is scary! There is one in the states putting out 450bhp with that engine, the reg plate reads CRZ MSL
