Had one for a short while.... as company car (whilst waited for mine to arrive).

AMAZING CAR...
AMAZING ENGINE...
AMAZING INTERIOR...
AMAZING ENGINE SOUND...

...when it works

In a short few months:

Rear brakes seized - dealer took 3 weeks to sort out (went in twice)
Windows failed to open on anything other than a whim and a prair
Immoboliser kept locking me out
Trim fell off
Battery kept going flat
Overheated in traffic
A/C failed
started to whine a lot...

The list goes on... but when it works its great!

Dealers are a disgrace!
Costs a fortune if its your car - god only knows how much the dealer would have charged the leaser !!!
But - i understand the newer models arent as bad... so

If YOUR buying it

FORGET IT - EVEN WITH A WARRENTY!!

If its a company car and you dont mind being in a courtesy car for 50% of ownership time... go for it!

I agree with everything Jza said.

I had a GTV 2.0 twin spark for a while, most of the things happened to me too. The dealers really are very poor.

Avoid.

Some company car schemes won't touch either Alfa or Fiat as the dealer support is so poor. I've recently moved jobs and both company car schemes don't allow 'em.

Cool

Step 1 - Bin the car

Step 2 - Keep the engine

Step 3 - Get in touch with CAE & buy a Corse kit car (Stratos Replica)

That's because it was mine you drove vtec As for reliability, mine didn't have any problems at all!!!!! Although I agree, the dealers are a disgrace and the parts very expencive!

Had a Alfa 145 Cloverleaf for 3 years from new. Overall it was very reliable, fun and engine sounded terrific. Having said that it had to be trailered back to the dealer less than 24 hours after first collecting it. And the dealer never even said sorry !

It sounds like Alfa dealers still have a lot to learn about looking after customers.
