focus, adjust handbrake ?

any one on here know how to adjust the handbrake on a focus ?
ive had a look under mine, can see where the cables go under the heat shield above the exhaust, thats it, do you need to remove the heat shields or can you do it from inside ?
under the centre console i assumed, but havnt looked yet

Inside the car you have the two cup holders, under the rubber mats there are 2 screws remove them, also the rear ashtray comes out and another screw there. Unscrew gear ****, then the centre bit all pops out and then you should be able to adjust under there mate
