A6?
A8?
7 Series?
5 Series?
Passat?
Jag?

Any of those although you may aswell just give me all your money now if you got a Jag as they are MAJOR money pits at that price.

Omega are good and quite a few reasonably new ones around for that money. Lex used to send our company the list of cars coming off hire available for purchase and there was always bargain 3.0 omega full kit 2.5 - 3 years old for around the money your're talking.

Had a hire 2.2 litre auto a while ago, very quiet, comfy although the seats do feel comfy straight away they were a little soft and I had to moove the seat to avoid a numb bum. Good auto box pretty smooth.

BMW 540?

I know mine is an estate but the saloon ones start at about £4000 for a decent one.

286 Bhp,
295 lb/ft
5 speed adaptive auto or six speed manual
155 mph limited top end
0 - 60: 6.4 seconds (auto)
Standing qtr (auto) 15.3 seconds

Come with M tech suspension, M5 brakes (vented discs front and rear)

Comes with:
Air conditioning (most)
Cruise control
Auto dipping interior mirror
Leather
Immobiliser
Excellent trip computer (including additional switchable keypad immobiliser)
Speed sensitive power steering
Switchable Active stability control (manual)

Loads more

Good fun comfortable fast car.

Spend a bit more and you can have my Legacy RS. Big boot, room for 4 adults and twin turbo's to get from A to B rather quickly.

If you don't mind high miles then get your Omega, V70T5 or 5 series from the police auction - well maintained, no compromise on safety items (brakes, tyres etc) and big savings available.
