What is the servicing intervals on one of these?
How much is a minor service?
How much is a major service?

Simon.

Service intervals are 12k miles or 12 months.

Service prices vary but minor should be around £150 and major around £250-£300.

My 24k service was £309 inc wipers blades and brake pads. This service involves tappet adjustment.

Don't forget the new 2004 model has just been launched, but IMO they ruined it Cr@p front and rear lights, side repeaters on the wing mirrors, seats, suspension, 0.2 off the 0-60 and new front bumper.

The holes in the front bumper where the fog light are supposed to go just look a bit cheap IMHO. Appart from that looks very nice.

Looks alot better in my opinion, I had the 02 model and thought that they should have better lights, maybe they will do Xenon options for them?

Looks far more tame IMO, it may be faster but it looks slower.

It needs that agressive look it almost had before, maybe they are aiming for more sales from females ?

I reckon if they want to make it look aggressive they need to stop making them look like bread vans. I feel alot of manufacturers have lost the plot with some of there new designs. If I buy a Civic Type R I want a sporty looking hot hatch not a mini MPV.

Same BHP, lighter flywheel and revised clutch knocks 0.2 off the sprint to 60.

Here are all the details plus pictures of 2004 Civic & Type-R. Major steering alterations will be carried out to stop the slightly dead feel at the centre of the rack at high

speed.http://www.civictype-r.co.uk/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=12989

Red face

DJ,
They adjust the tappets at 24k?!!
I thought that went out with the likes of the dinosaur
I dont think id be happy with a car that would need tappets adjusting (and its suppose to be high tec? )
I'll stick to a ford mondeo, no need for such antiquities like that

Tony

Ford engine or honda, let me think. Tappets or no tappets the Honda wins that hands down.

"slightly dead feel at the centre of the rack at high speed"

LOL! How about totally rubbish feel at high speed (like the Pole Position arcade game in 1982). It does improve marginally when the electronic steering loads up from "custard" to "swarfega" levels when pushing a bit hard through the bends.
