Can anyone tell me where I can find a 'sight glass' for the air con gas on an E36 (1998) M3 Conv.

The pump engages OK, but the air is just not cold at all - and it seems like it's out of gas, but I'd like to be able to find one of those small glass windows (that you can see small bubbles in, when properly gassed and running) to confirm...

...had a damn good look under the bonnet, but cannot see anything that looks remotely likely.

Although I've tried the odd M3 forum, they're pretty slow - so has anyone here got any ideas???

am not to sure where it is on the bmw,s tho but it should be on the low side of the system, somehwere near the a/c motor.

if u cant find the side glass look for the discharge and it should be very hot if not then u maybe SOG
