Hi friendly scoobynetters (again)

Sorted the last problem out - thanks but now a new problem has arisen

Have had a reconditioned engine fitted, the reason i got a new engine was because when i had my old one in it used to burn oil really bad, and when i was doing speeds of about 60-70 it started jerking and loosing power badly - used to have to slow down and speed up to regain power.

Now the new engine is in, there is a new jerk and the old jerk is still there, it is like a misfire?? It is obviously something else and not the engine as originally thought? All the external bits, carb, spark leads, oil pump etc are off the old engine and have not been renewed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated - thanks

Maybe fuel starvation, does it only happen after the engine heats up?

Thanks for replying corgi

The new jerk started as soon as the other engine was put in and started, the other quite sharp jerk - yes when warm and high speeds, the car does not have a fuel filter, could it be possible the fuel pipes need cleaning? or any other ideas - could it be the carb etc???
