You can get 17inch versions of the cyclones (gti6) wheels. I think they are from wheelmania, but I reckon they look quite good, I think they are called lions. Not sure how 17s will affect the handling, some people say it's better, others say it's worse.

Oh, and you could also try this for ideas, although it doesn't have the wheels I was on about.

While we are on the subject my flatmate wants alloys that'll fit his 307. All sizes and designs considered but must be relatively cheap. He's not much of an ethusiast he just doesn't want trims any more.

What will physically fit on the rear is the first problem with a 306, as you probably know.

Offsets are critical, and anything much wider than 7" will probably foul, if I remember correctly the NS inner arch is worst. You may also have to roll the lip of the arches.

I had TSW Imola on a 306 GTi-6 several years back, standard ride height, and they fouled

Had 17" qualifiers on mine, lowered 40mm front and rear no rubbing at all even with 4 passengers.

I had the work done here www.merseyspeed.co.uk tell them Sam with the Subaru sent you

I have found this picture which I thought you might be interested in, although I'm not sure how to make it clicky or embed it).

Granted, it's not red, and it's a photoshop job so they are probably bigger thatn 17inches, but looks good though IMHO.

Out of interest what 306 have you got? Have you tried the pgac (http://www.peugeot-gti.net) as they will probably be quite helpful.

Thumbs up

A mate had Anterra 182's on his GTI6, that looked awesome

I think Kahn RSR's would look good too, they're a superb wheel, mine were fine after bashing them through a wall

DTS has a point about the rear arches, the near side does catch more, summat to do with the rear suspension being p*ssed due to the torsion bars

Mille Miglia HT3 - kinda like the RB5 Speedlines but with 5 pairs of spokes instead of 6.

Mille Miglia EVOs look really sweet on 306s.
I had them (17s) on my Rallye and they never rubbed.
Saying that, the handling was never the same changing up from the standard 15s.
They're getting really common as well though, dunno if that'd bother you. In the past week, i've seen them on Mercs, BMWs, Pugs, Vauxhalls and a Skoda!
