on auto express website it says about the new corsa turbo about how its going to leave the clio 172 in its wake but when it gives you its figures you wonder how 175bhp 210nm torque well the clio is 172bhp and 200nm torque the corsa is said to be low 7 0-60 and the clio is 6.8 0-60 ( i know 0-60 dont mean much) and then it goes on about how it might not even get into production let alone over here and if it does it will be de tuned to 160 bhp so how is this going to beat the clio ??????

 

Errr you have your figures a little wrong there

will be the same engine out of the Astra GSi - the 200bhp 2.0 engine.

I know this cos I work for vauxhall & have seen two pre-production models

& yes they are quick (very) but the handling still needs sorting IMHO

I'll stick my neck out here and say that there is no way Vauxhall will put 200bhp in the final production cars. All the mags have said they'll be de-tuned!

 

read in one of the car mags this week it will be a 1.6 turbo motor(176 bhp 0-60 around 6 secs ) in the corsa gsi , vauxhall would never embarras there astras by making the corsa faster
