Looking to replace a G reg 16V Gti with something a bit more exciting - have always liked a Corrado VR6, but I'd like some opinions. Budget of 5 to 7k, only criteria is that it must do at least 25 mpg and be a good family car!!
Oh yes, and be bloody good fun to drive!!

I've got a Corrado VR6 for sale !!
Classic Green
beige leather
electric w/m/roof etc.
86,000 miles, FSH, Excellent condition, Warranty etc.
up at £7,495 & I'm in Kent.
BTW I get average of 28-30 mpg. Very rarely less than 25mpg. Motorways - 33 mpg quite easily.
I went to this from a Golf GTi16V mk2 big bumper model and never looked back. Now on a Honda S2000 so don't need the VR6 any more.

I take it that converting the normally aspirated Golf to a turbo is no easy task!! I'm no expert in any way at all, but how does standard Golf running gear handle the extra 90 odd bhp?
I'm actually quite proud of my Mk 2: 185,000 miles, a few expected electrical problems I suppose, but still runs well. I've had it for two years now and want something that will see a few more years out!!
