Default 2016 Ford Focus 1.5TDCI

Looks like I'm getting one of these as a company car when I start my new job in January.
Anyone else running one? Bit of a step down from my private car at the moment.

What are they like in terms of comfort and economy?

We are 15000 miles into one, estate version. Doors don't close unless you slam them, steering column turns your foot off the clutch when depressed.
Can't actually complain much about it, drives well, fast enough too. Probably no better or worse than the opposition.

We have run one for last 3.5 years , although its a 2012 and I think it is 1.6 TDCI Zetec S with lower suspension and 18 inch alloys. Firm ride, handles well ,economical and parks itself ( park assist) . Not a bad car to be honest. Looks quite sporty and goes ok for a small diesel. My son uses it now having just passed his test but I still drive it now and again and yep its not a bad car.

Good. I had a mk1 years ago. Loved it. But things have moved on. Glad they appear to be OK.

It is a cheaply built car, along the lines of a Vauxhall, Renault, etc. But still not a bad hurl. I think you don't have to look too far for something better though.

same engine in the BMW mini too, all comes down to who can build an engine to conform with emissions requirements.

Well it wasn't my choice but the Mrs has been moaning for a while that I need a 4/5door car. Have a BMW e92 325i at the moment. Sad to have to sell it but there's just no point keeping such a car for weekend use only. Especially when weekends are usually spent out as a family with our two young boys.
The focus is only going to cost me £50 a month, so I'm happy with that.

May have to get a classic sti ra as a weekend toy! ?d

I run a Fiesta S Black as my daily drive. Just under 1 litre three cylinder pumping out 140Bhp and sounding like a mini six potter. It goes well and handles like a dream and I average late 40's mpg... all for £20 road tax a year.

How things have moved on !!
