My mate turned up in his New Car yesterday morning........
Very nice.
Kia Cee'd Pro GT Tech. Top of the range! Every toy going I think. 1.6 Turbo (202bhp) really nippy to be fair. Interior was lovely, seats have a cracking driving position. Clocks are all LED. 7 year warranty, 3 years servicing, 1st MOT free (Better than nowt). I was really impressed!!!!

What sort of mpg does he get from it? I've spoken to two separate sales people at two separate dealers who had ran them for a few weeks and both could only get around 25mpg. Although it's a 200bhp car, in this day and age on this type of car you have got to expect mid to high 30's surely???

Handling leaves a bit to be desired and depreciation is quite steep judging by low milage 2nd hand values.
I think the Fiesta ST is still the best buy in this sector, it's a couple of grand more but it holds it's money better, although the Kia makes a good 2nd hand buy when they are 1/2yrs old and have 5yrs warranty left.

He got it for £17K. Should of been over £20K but there bringing out a MK3 version soon so these are getting cheaper as all cars do in this situation!
He's only had 3 weeks but so far av 36mpg and he gives it the beans. (Never had a turbo so he's loving it). Hardly any lag to be fair. When you press the GT Button on the steering the Centre clock changes and shows Boost, Torque etc. Really good.
I'm in ford now Castleton waiting on my van back. Sat in the Fiesta ST. Nice car, lovely recaro seats. But the spec and layout.... I prefer the kia. Same kind of figures but the kia is bigger and weighs more.
I also think it's a bit different. Don't get me wrong I love fords. Had a few myself and still would but here at ford it says £20K + more for extras where as the kia £17K for the top one. With a better warranty n all. Might feel different driving the ST.
Don't know why I'm saying I can't afford naff all. Not had a car for over 2 yr since I sold my scoob!

I like that, similar price and power of my Corsa VXR although looks a bit bigger/heavier but with a much better warranty at 7 years!
Ditch you know the VXR is better than the ST3
