Default Move to Seat?

Hi guys. Got a classic 2000 at the moment , but its not in great nick and age is showing in most aspects of the car , as in engine ,body , paint and interior defects. I cant really inject any serious amount of money into it as its just a uk model so ive been looking at changing marques. Anybody running ,or ran, a Seat Leon or the FR? Opinions please

Same car basically, decent enough daily hack to work.
Good mpg and quick enough, six speed box helps too

My wife has a 63 plate FR 150, it does everything well but just a tad boring with no real character, but she loves it so that's good enough for me!

Have to admit, the FR is one that is catching my attention for when I change my VRS at the end of the year, early next year...

Would only want the 1.8 engine though, the 1.4 isn't quick enough for me and the 1.8 with the lighter body than my current VRS should give me roughly the same on the road performance - possibly be interested in the Cupra but that looks like way too much power going through the front wheels..... I get wheel spin in 3rd now if I try too hard and that's with only 200bhp!

I had a cupra r. Never again. Had electrical and sensor problem every week. Coolant sensor, brake light switch, door locks would open when they felt like it,fold in mirrors again worked when they wanted, coil pack failure, then crank possition sensor which meant car wouldnt start once warm. Dash rattled and squeaked. All this on a 50k mile car. Was quick tho at 280bhp
