Default Mercedes Benz / AMG Community Forums?

As I know there are a few MB / AMG owners on here, could you let me know what your opinions are on the known forums and associated URL's?

I currently know of the "aclass" and "MBworld" forums.

I'm about to embark on a "Project" for the A45 and need to assess the best places to document this. I'm not sure it would suit ScoobyNet very well.

Any information appreciated from the Merc owners.

I'm looking for the biggest potential audience ideally, with a high UK demographic.

http://www.mbclub.co.uk is the UK one I use most. You wil find an AMG performance section on there with a good number of regulars. Acid from MSL is very active on there too as is Paul from Eurocharged in Watford.

mbworld.org is very USA focused, but the Americans are into modding a lot more than us so I quite like it there too.

Shaun as you know I'm on aclassclub.co.uk, seems to be lots of information but can be cliquey at times.

Thinking about the drop in filter option as the first wee tweek after reading about it on the forum, what's your thoughts?

Oh and I also by luck have a set of 19" Alloys to fit that used to be on the scoob but were too big but happen to be 5x112 and more offset than the standard AMG alloys so look nice and aggressive.

Save your money until you know it actually does something worth while. You'll find out soon enough, with enough information and data to give yourself wood.

500bhp A45 on the cards then.

Should have just bought the Brabus version.

500bhp A45 - Never say never Ditch.

Brabus - There is no fun for me in that. I love the whole investigation, testing and development side of things. It's the heart and soul of the "enthusiast" that I just can't kick.

I'm pretty sure there will be limited tuning option for your Merc and most of the people on the forums will probably think the car is quick enough so 99% will not mod their cars and will most likely not be able to offer any advice. I know this as I asked about the BMW on specific forums

Steve,
I don't go in to these things half cocked.

It's about the type of companies you work with and their attitudes. I don't care what is available today.... the idea is to work with companies to develop and test, to enable more options available tomorrow.

Whilst the "tuning" scene with the A45 is in it's infancy, there are many owners that are already tuning them as soon as they have ran their vehicles in. That's my kind of scene. lol

Even in it's infancy there are reports of cars already achieving over 450bhp and managing to reach delimited roads speeds in excess of 190mph...... for a hatchback.

This marque has enormous potential and has some really enthusiastic owners.

There is nothing wrong with modding your new car as what's wrong with having a fast luxury car
