NBO 8 Sunday 27th june ##THE LIST###########

Well this is it !!!

After months (and years)of planning we finally go Live again !!!!

NBO 8 which will be held on Sunday 27th june 2010 at Lightwater Valley Theme Park rippon N yorkshire

This is a central location within the uk and offers fantastic facilities including toilets and catering and of course the theme park for the Kids and young at heart and as always a reduced admission charge and they have given us a special field to us so all money raised goes into our Charity fund .

MISSION STATEMENT

To bring together Subaru owners from different British clubs and companies ,in order to promote Subaru ownership and the subaru brand, to provide information for potential Subaru owners,and through the generosity of NBO attendees collect donations for worthy causes *

Thanks to everyone for this fantastic figure .

This year again thanks to Chris <scooby Towers>LADS , our NBO committee Charity organiser and his employer BAE Systems once again are going to DOUBLE all money raised on the day for our chosen charity So this year we will smash all records for money raised again !!

The Northern Big One (NBO 8) 2010 will be the 8th year of the ten year plan ,that Cumbrian Scoobs (CS) and helpers from TTS and the LADS have organised the event and is now a permanent fixture on the scooby callendar and has been the Biggest gathering of Subarus in the UK untill the mccrae gathering overtook us.

The <vision> is simple, Subaru owners meet up in a field once a year to admire each others cars and be part of the great community we are in.

The concept has now been taken further as it has developed with a Car of the day Competion in its own Arena with some new different classes to enter and this year we have recruited previous car of the day winners as judges and is a chance for all the Subaru Clubs in the UK to get their Club stands out and show off their Club displays to everyone and of course compete for the Club Stand of the day and the Big Gold Cup and runner up prizes

this year we have a few er... twists to this to drive the groups to a new level of perfection and compete for the gold """and new super plots too (details will follow soon)

This year as it is so busy we are starting at 1030 AM although Club stands and Traders ONLY will be permitted at intervals between 800am-930am to give every one time to set up ready for 350-400 cars which have turned up every year .
Convoys again will be from Scotch corner and ferryhill (details will follow later on this)
The charge for entry to the field is £7 donation per car although most people throw in the rest of their change as it ALL goes to Charity .

This year we want to raise the most EVER !!!!!!!!!

the buckets are sealed So NO CHANGE GIVEN ###

As some of you know we run the NBO on a very tight shoe string budget of £1100 so all donations go to charity so thanks to our traders who help keep us a float as we have struggled over the last couple of years with rising insurance costs/tropheys etc

1. Insurance requirements and
2. Planning space for our team of marshalls to park you quickly as you could imagine parking 450 + scoobies in under 1 hour is quite a logistics exercise .

. This year we allocated the first few numbers of the famous list to the NBO committee in recognition of the hard work that they do to make the NBO 8 a success
