The NBO7 will be held on Sunday 28th June at Lightwater Valley Rippon


For all the hundreds that have attended for the last 6 years well you just know how good it is

This year it starts at 1030 am with earlier admission for those setting up the club stands

The normal competions apply, the Club Stand Competion and the Car of the Day competions .

I'm sure by now all the Club stands will have planned their stands to perfection and the people entering the 'Hallowed Arena ' to show off their cars will be stocking up on wax and polish ready for preparations

This year we have recruited some top judges (who were previous car of the day winners )and the standards are going to be fantastic .

As tradion for 10 weeks before the event the List will go live on Sunday 19th April at 7PM on scoobynet northern section to give you all time in your clubs to prebook the early numbers

Full Instructions will go out shorty regarding convoys ,leaders ,meeting points ,stand sizes, access to the field,new NBO website ,traders,charitys and of course some new exciting things to look at on the day .

The clubs that pre book can even have larger plots and Independant Scooby owners will have their own section too ,loads of planning has allready started on the NBO7 to make it the Best yet as we move into the final 3 years of thee NBO concept

The 2 Official NBO convoy leaders north and south are both <fired > up again for this year for the convoys which is an Important part of the event


With many years experience of leading the Subarus into the Field they will be fetching the hundreds of Scoobies into the NBO Field ready for the Marshalls to park in true military precision parking

Of course not

As true Subaru Tradition the list starts 10 weeks before the event although the LADs have had their list sorted for months

Early feedback from people is great and we have 3 Brand new clubs showing for the first time and with new improved classes for the car of the day show along with 2 top secret judges under the <master > Robbieben the comp is going to a new level .

The club stand of the day comp will also be taken to new levels with new exciting groups like D&G ,DSC ,NYIOC and McRae group competing last year and all achieving very high marks in the scoring fighting the Big Hitters such as LADS ,Ayreshire boys ,TTS,CS ,Wagon crew and the WYIOC and CADS its going to be a really exciting competion to judge .

Its great when we look back over the last 7 years how the clubs have really raised the game ,The first NBO we had the CS and TTS with Argos £15 gezebos and the Mighty Smacs led by the legend CW with a banner and the RB5 group with a banner and a tent and the CADS with a flag and we though it was a good display !!

,how things have moved on since then thanks to the hard work of all the clubs I think now the Subaru community have (flame suit on) better preparation and equipment and general displays the the RS movement and the Subaru movement will get stronger over the next few years ,there is still a couple of things I hope to see from cars this year as the cars get older 16-18 years for some , and prehaps mirrors under cars ,concourse stds and orignallity on some cars and who knows a few years from now we might get to the standard of RS cars for the judges in the arena ,I know Robbiben and the 2 judges will be working hard in the next few weeks to plan new judgeing criteria for a couple of the classes and of course the modified section which is getting to incredible levels .




and of course it all comes down to such a loyal following ,guys like the <legendary >CRAFT who has supported us from our humble beginings and who has always got the troops there in super quick times :

How come it's so late this year? it's alway's been around the 18th / 19th
guess i'll have to miss this one

 

After 6 years of having it on 'fathers day' we decided as a committee to move it back a couple of weeks

To increase numbers for the last 3 years we have just got over 300 and we are really looking forward to getting the magic 400 and possibly scooby WAGS (wives and girlfriends subaru) are not lettig them come out to play on fathers day

also to try to help with our traders and staff

Also to try to get a rain free day : 2 out of 6 ain't bad

the website for NBO7 should be up and runing in a couple of weeks time but all details will be posted on here and also copyed onto most of the clubs forums

last year we had 14 seperate club stands and this year we have 3 new clubs who are showing ,as posted above the subaru club network has grown so much on the last 6 -7 years and last year we had over 200 cars which were joined onto the clubs and only 100 subaru owners who werent members of any clubs ,as they wander from club stand to club stand and mention where they come from they soon make new friends as Subaru owners are very friendly and keen to built up their own clubs .

 

sounds good im not a member of any club as just got into subarus in the last 6 months but maybe i will join one thanks for the help
