BLACKPOOL ILLUMINATIONS CHARITY RUN FINAL ANNOUNCEMENT
Hello guys,
firstly id like to thank everybody for there great response to the event, it really is overwhelming, id also like to thank everybody for the great raffle prize donations (more welcome on the day:wink
ive checked the weather forecast and its looking good,
The only thing that should cause us a few hiccups is the road closures at the meet point and enroute to the lights, even a small section of the promenade is closed due to a sewer collapse, i therefore ask everybody to be as patient as possible and to enjoy the event and to simply go with the flow, as it is going to cause some inconvenience and the run will not be as smooth as previous years ,it is proven that it has always been almost impossible to keep 100+ scoobs in one convoy through the lights on a saturday night, so if your group get split up please dont worry and get upset just head for the end we will meet you there!
THE MAIN DIVERSION,(meet point entrance)
Due to road closure on COPSE RD where it meets DENHAM WAY you will now approach scoobyteknix via a revised route,
On the A585 as you approach Fleetwood you pass a large roundabout with MORRISONS supermarket, you drive straight on, you then approach a large traffic light junction, straight on again, about 3/4 mile you enter a large roundabout with the EROS statue after this roundabout you need to look for the new CHRIS ALLEN ford/ Mazda dealership, Turn left into copse rd and follow this road past all the fishermen friend factories, and Scoobyteknix is on the last road on the right (HENDERSON RD)
POSTCODE FOR SATNAVS FY7 7PA
as you enter the estate you will be met with the charity buckets for your donations, please give generously but usual is a fiver for which you will receive an event sticker,
During the day we will be selling raffle tickets for some great prizes,
the team will then try to get you all parked up as neatly as possible, but it will be busy, so i ask you again to please be patient and try to help us out best you can, hopefully the convoys will come in at staggered times to allow us time to keep things neat,
Refreshments will be availible on arrival for everybody, by a great outside caterer, Dan has done the last 2 events and his food is top quality and superbly priced
as the last few years a bouncy castle is booked for the kids,
portaloos are availible -next to scoobyteknix,
Our scooby owning professional Stunt rider Neil Porter is doing displays during the afternoon(or aslong as his back tyre lasts 8) for your entertainment
we are open for business all day, but id like the event to start from approx 2pm, The raffle will be drawn approx 5.15 and we will be getting ready for the off between 6 and 6.30pm

Last year we raised £1110 for the Alder Hey imagine appeal, please help us beat that,

You need to look at it in relation to Andy's post
Anyway - normally to get to ScoobyTEKNIX you go up the 585 (Amounderness Way) to the roundabout in the 1st pic and then turn left into Denham Rd then left again into Copse Rd then 1st Left again into Henderson Rd
BUT
because there is a closure at the 'Denham Way - Copse Rd junction' you cannot get through - indicated by 'Road Blocked' in Pic1
So - the solution is to leave Amounderness Way (585) early. After the roundabout with the EROS statue on it (marked 'EROS' in pic 2
) there is a smallish road bearing off to the left - which is Copse Rd! - Follow Copse Rd all the way North - until you see loads of Scoobs at Henderson Rd on the left 
- just before where the road is closed
If this doesn't help... Well... forgive me, - I hope you get there anyway
