Daz do a search on here in technical/drivetrain for 6 speed gearbox am sure you will find plenty of threads about conversion, very straightforward on a classic and worthwhile in the end, my old scooby broke two ty752 gearboxes but the white beastie i am running now can easily handle the power with no issues to date fingers crossed,
basically you need the 6speed box out of a uk model the propshaft of an auto classic if you can`t find an sti8 one and the rear diff of your classic uk car should be ok as long as it is a 3.54 ratio diff,
after this if use a jdm box you need the matching diff, few places to try for parts are Grade A breakers, Api david, and try the parts section in pistonheads sometimes crop up there and lastly the dreaded fleabay.
