At £35 for ONE run i`ll stick to the Northern ones thanks!!!!!!
Rich.
Rich.
From the RS circle I have heard bad reports on Well Lane.disclaimer (this is based on peoples opinions and from what i have heard)
I thought people would be happy to get the opportunity to take their car on the Rollers, they pay their money let them take their choice.

As long as the "bullsh!t figures" make my car look good in the bhp stakes, it can only be a good thing - I already know from Power Engineering what it's putting out and their's is a sound RR.
Just going to have a laugh ( prob @ Bob.T, - unless it's in the wet ). I'd come to this other one as well, but not sure whether I can make it or not at the mo!

Surely no one is naive enough to take RR figures as gospel?
As Andy says, it's just a bit of fun.
What is important is the comparison BETWEEN the cars attending based on their mods. Even running a standard car as a benchmark is not a good idea as even standard car's figures can vary greatly.
Having said that, Superslider's BOG STANDARD MY01 ran in October at Well Lane and did 220bhp, I think. Mmmmm, 5bhp out, BIG ERROR!!!
It's also a good way of seeing if there's a problem with your car, as I did last year, only reaching 9psi (didn't have a boost gauge and had only had the car 3 months). If I hadn't gone, I wouldn't have known.
So even IF Well Lane's/ Power Engineering's etc. RR is out of calibration, it'll be the same for everyone, so it's a good way of COMPARING cars. But let's face it, if someone goes to one of these places and gets crap results, they will start saying, "their rollers are rubbish" BLAH BLAH BLAH. So rumours do spread.

As Rich says you can only compare
I've had figures ranging up to 70bhp difference between RR's
For the lowest one I could not use it for insurance purposes because the insurance company said I was having a laugh!
The only one that seems consistent for me so far is Well Lane, They may be high (have you had it bench dyno'd to prove this?) but for me its only a confirmation that the extra power I feel on the road has actually equated to extra bhp.....that said I'll go to PE soon and get a direct comparison on some additional 'adjustments', then we'll see if they are consitent also
If the power (esp at wheels) drops significantly following a number of mods then I know that there is something wrong with the rollers and its not a problem with my car, but if I see that others are above compared to mine thats when I'll get the car checked out, which is what I did following a run at PE.
Cant comment on rollers I have not been on...
