DATE : SATURDAY 7TH OCTOBER

HAVE DONE A RECCY UP TO BLACKPOOL ON THURSDAY AND SET THE FINAL PLANS IN STONE.
THE PLAN IS THE SAME AS LAST YEAR, A RUN THROUGH THE LIGHTS FROM NORTH TO SOUTH THIS WAY WE WILL MISS THE TRAFFIC COMING OFF THE M55 AND DOWN PAST THE AIRPORT. WE WILL BE MEETING ON AN INDUSTRIAL ESTATE JUST OUTSIDE FLEETWOOD BEFOREHAND THEN LEAVING FROM THERE TO RUN THROUGH THE LIGHTS.
I HAVE SPOKEN TO THE MANAGER OF THE MCDONALDS NEXT TO THE AIRPORT TO INFORM THEM OF PEOPLE CALLING IN AFTER WE HAVE DONE THE RUN THROUGH THE LIGHTS. WOULD BE GREAT IF WE COULD GET EVERYONE TO MEET UP AGAIN IN THE MORRISONS/MCDONALDS CAR PARK AFTER THE LIGHTS RUN.

I AM SPEAKING TO THE CHARITY TOMORROW MORNING AND HOPEFULLY THEY WILL BE SENDING SOMEONE ALONG AND IM HOPING TO GET SOME COLLECTION BUCKETS FROM THEM SO WILL NEED A COUPLE OF VOLUNTEERS TO WALK ROUND WITH THE BUCKETS FOR ME PLEASE. THERE IS A POSSIBILITY THAT ITV (GRANADA REGION) WILL BE IN ATTENDANCE ALONG WITH A NUMBER OF LOCAL PAPERS AND RADIO STATIONS.
A CATERING VAN IS BEING ORGANISED TO ATTEND THE INDUSTRIAL ESTATE MEETING PLACE SO YOU CAN ALLL GET FOOD AND DRINKS.

RAFFLES, T SHIRTS, EXTRA STICKERS ETC ETC ARE ANOTHER OPTION WHICH I WILL BE LOOKING INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK.

THE LIGHTS TURN ON AT 7:00PM AND GO OFF AT 01:00AM ON THE DAY WE ARE RUNNING THE EVENT.
WE PLAN TO LEAVE THE INDUSTRIAL ESTATE AT 6:45PM SO EVERYONE NEEDS TO BE AT THE INDUSTRIAL ESTATE WELL BEFORE THEN WETHER YOU ARE COMING UP IN A CONVOY OR JUST MEETING AT THE INDUSTRIAL ESTATE. I WILL BE RELEASING CONVOY TIMES ETC MID WEEK AFTER SPEAKING TO THE REMAINING PEOPLE I NEED TO SPEAK TO (CHARITYS, MEDIA ETC ETC).
THERE WILL BE PEOPLE AT THE INDUSTRIAL ESTATE SUPERVISING PARKING SO PLEASE OBSERVE THEM AND PARK UP WHERE ASKED TO. £5 WILL BE TAKEN ON THE GATE PER CAR SO HAVE YOUR MONEY READY ON ARRIVAL TOO PLEASE.

NOT GOT MUCH ELSE TO SAY REGARDING THE EVENT OTHERTHAN THANKS FOR YOUR OVERWHELMING SUPPORT AND HERES TO WHAT WILL BE ANOTHER GREAT NIGHT.

HAVING SPOKEN TO THE CHARITY TODAY THEY ARE SORTING ME OUT WITH SOME COLLECTION BUCKETS WHICH I AM PICKING UP ON MONDAY. THEY WILL PUT A REPORT AND PICTURES ON THEIR WEBSITE AFTER THE EVENT.
SPOKEN TO ITV - THEY ARE VERY INTERESTED
SPOKEN TO BLACKPOOL GAZETTE NEWSPAPER. AN ADVERT IS GOING IN THE PAPER NEXT WEEK TO ADVERTISE THE EVENT AND THEY ARE HOPING TO SEND A REPORTER OUT TO TAKE SOME PICTURES ETC ETC.
SPOKEN TO THE DAILY POST - THEY ARE INTERESTED.
UNFORTUNATELY SCOOBY MAGAZINE HAS FOLDED AND WE ARE UNABLE TO GET A FEATURE OFF THEM BUT THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT I HAVE TODAY SECURED A FEATURE IN JAP PERFORMANCE MAGAZINE
RADIO CITY ARE UNFORTUNATELY UNABLE TO OFFER US AIRTIME TO ADVERTISE THE EVENT BUT THE CHARITY ARE GOING TO HELP OUT AS MUCH AS THEY CAN.

GOOD NEWS AND ONLY 19 DAYS TO GO.

Convoy and meeting times to be released over the weekend.
