I rather meant the ability to turn up to said establishment listed in the thread, and not bow out at the last minute, or rather post up excuses several days later

The transmission loss for a subaru works out at 24 %. So if you take your wheel horse power figure and put 24% on top of that ,you get your flywheel figure. We have had no problems with our rolling road and have tested it against dyno printouts from TSL and other dynapack rolling roads and they have matched them just fine.

Flywheel figures are only a fairly educated guess anyway whether you measure coastdown losses or not. It just makes it harder to compare like for like, though, when you're used to flywheel figures.

Yes, as said above. Depends on gear ratios, drop gears, final drives/diff rations, efficiencies, even how tight or sloppy the box and diffs are, how many and what type of diffs fitted, where DCCD is set ( for those lucky cars! ) etc. so a coastdown reading of induced transmission losses need to be measured for wach car ..

the rollers should be able to do it so it's just the protocol adopted that needs to be standardised.
