Tyne Tees Scoobies next meet 4/05/04
hi All,
Just a quick note to tell everyone that the next Tyne Tees Scoobies meet will be on Tuesday 4th May 2004 at the Dun Cow, Bournmoor. Meet in carpark aroung 7:30pm ish.
Things of importance on this meets agenda will be the organising of the NBO2, the forthcoming trip to Prodrive and the evenings karting on the 18th.
Would love to get more cars than the last meet when I think around 30 cars turned up.
Hope to see you all there.
Martin

Hello Everyone,
Just a quick update of the discussions from Tuesday night and a little further information on a couple of matters.
As you will be all aware, the NBO (Northern BIG ONE) is to be held at Lightwater Valley, Ripon on Sunday 13th June 2004 starting at 11:00am. The organisors are in need of a couple of volunteers to marshall the event. This will consist of arriving at the event an hour or so early and helping to erect tents, get the PA system working and assisting in the parking of the 500 scoobs when they decend on the park. Would any volunteers please let me know. We are also in need of raffle prizes for the event. Many thank to those that came forward on Tuesday night to offer prizes for the raffle. There will be a major convoy heading to this event. This will be starting at Washington Services and then meeting up with the Cumbrian crew and Scottish contingent at Scotch Corner. Leaving Scotch Corner at 10:00am (ish). NO EARLIER.
The mid-monthly meet for May will be on Tuesday 18th May and will comprise of a karting session at Warden Law Motorsport Centre followed by a couple of drinks at the Dun Cow, Bournmoor. The meet for anyone taking part in the Karting will be the Dun Cow at 6:40pm. We will arrive back at the Dun Cow at 9:00pm. There are still a couple of places available for karting.Let me know if you are interested. Cost will be 40 quid. This consists of a 15 minute warmup session followed by a 30 minute 'grand prix' with a trophy to the winner.
The first of the Elvington RWYB days is on Sunday 16th May at Elvington Airfield, York. Cost of the days drag racing and top speed runs is 40 quid per day. Competitors must wear a crash helmet and be wearing long sleeved shirts and long trousers. This is a good practice session for anyone taking part in the Scooby Shootout.
The Scooby Shootout is at Elvington on Monday 31st May (Bank Holiday). Appartently there are a lot of vacant places available for this day, so if you fancy taking part you can register on www.scoobyshootout.co.uk or alternatively, take your chance of there being spare places on the day.
The trip to Prodrive was a great success. A few photos have been published on the Scoobynet Northern thread. My thanks go out to John and Liz for there great efforts in making this such an enjoyable day.
It was with great pleasure that I signed up the 100th TTS Member on Tuesday. The club is going from strenght to strenght. Many thanks to all involved.
See you all soon
