Midlife, he`s doing mine again as it was sort of pre-arranged just after i went to see him the first time, i don`t think he`s doing any non pre-arranged ones now. If you did have to go down south i don`t think you`d have any problems as long as you took it easy all the way there. Am thinking when you get it fitted you could have the boost actuator thingy turned right down, or wound out, however you do it, surely that would make things safe for the journey. But i`d check with someone in the know first

Edited to say my knocklink is stuck on the dash surround right in front of my speedo with double sided tape, you can`t see below 20mph or how many miles i`ve done but at least its right in front of me. you can have a look on wednesday

Sorry mate, tried you Monday but you were out.

Well Knocklink and Lambdalink are ordered, then I'll find out whether Brutus is running OK ? Oh and I've got a sticking caliper, or a knackered damper and I need to change the oil again. Then I need to decide on gauges, looking at maybe SPA gauges.

Welcome to 22b ownership It was never like this with my UK99, when all I had to worry about was ear defenders

Well I think the dampers are OK, bit hard to tell with Cusco coilovers though as even standing on the car it doesn't move much Changing the oil tonight, Knocklink etc tomorrow night and the calipers I'll do next week. Its all go at the moment. Then it will be in for a service as I'd like the belts done (it is 5 years old) and maybe to do the gearbox and turbo (bit noisy) unless I can fix these myself. Just as well I've got a warranty to cover both if they need work.

At this rate I'll be looking to build a bigger garage and fitting a lift/pit

But its not putting me off at all, loving every minute of it, even the problems. Coz I've got a 22b in my garage so life is great

Gusy,

What I'm doing at the moment isn't what I'd call mods I just want to see whats happening with the engine. When I start modding Brutus (money permitting) it will be a few discrete things like brakes, lights and a decat + re-map.

Hey Mark

Thanks for mailing..

I want to go to the sportsman to have a look at DaveW 22B, I see it most days, always in front of me so must remind myself to set alarm clock sooner !!

Sat under Ian Armstrong's desk is a front entry TD05 which I have bought, soon to be followed by fuel pump, injectors, etc ready for another re-map..I have offered to pay for travel / hotel bills etc for Pat Hebron to re-map the car again here in Carlisle (John Banks has "retired").

Anybody interested in a Custom Map TeK 3 in Carlisle if I can arange it ??.

Midlife.....

Are you going to the Sportsman ??

Midlife, i had everything ready to buy, but shortly after my headers arrived i completely lost interest in my car and ended up driving it only about 4 times in a month! i think it was 'bird' related that caused this problem (subconcsiously), but the last run got me back into enjoying the car again so i`m slowly adding more coal to the fire. oh, and the bitch got ditched

Will be at the sportsman, am going straight there from a certain place near edinburgh........looks like i`m gonna be one of the last to go 'there' for 'something'

p.s. can`t wait for some waitress action at sportsman

Lordy

I Would like to edit post to say back from "free" holiday in majorca... Where have you fitted the knockloink ..It's not the slimmest of things ??

Abbey...Are you the last person John Banks is going to re-map ?? ..Since his retirement I thought about Pat at Scoobysport but I don't fancy driving all that way with the car fitted with different Turbo and old map. Still thinking what to do ?? Tempted to ask you to ask John for one more "customer"

Midlife....
