From what began a <vision> of a few scoobys from cumbrian scoobs and Tyne Tees meeting in a field for a quite chat has grown into the largest scooby meeting of all times with now 439 listed and possibly 500 will turn up on the day !!!!

Every regional thread is taken over by NBO chat, convoys from all over the UK and isle of man ,isle of weight and Jersey from the highlands of scotland a hugh welsh invasion and down to the cornish coast its seems every one has heard of and is coming to the
NORTHERN BIG ONE (NBO)
on sunday 15 th June at lightwater valley near Rippon yorkshire

Remember Entry is FREE due to a deal done with Lightwater Valley
((LV)on the use of the field
the start is a 11AM untill 5 PM
there is discounted admission to the theme park of £10 (normally £13 ) At L V if you want to keep the family amused with the white knuckle rides and there is a fantastic shopping village and cafes and toilets on site so no picnics please to help us keep the field litter free !!!

On the day we are holding a Car of the Day Competion with a trophey by JW racing

The Main Aim of the Day is to raise money for Cancer Research

we had set a target of £2000 by holding a Raffle the prizes are still coming in but some of them include an After burner

exhaust from scoobyworld and Hayward and Scott
A fantastic Tommy Makinen subaru jacket donated by Ian at Stan Palmers
A Richard Burns signed Rally book by Prodrive
Videos and books from Demon Tweeks and other subaru goodys from SG Petch and John Wildings
Gift voucher from Revolution at Gateshead

Scooby world and Hayward and Scott have came up with a fantastic offer of 10% of their sales of Exhausts on the day will be donated to Cancer Research
im convinced we will now Raise over £3000 on the day so please can you all

DIG DEEP IN YOUR POCKETS TO HELP US RAISE THE £ 3000 on the day

On the field itself you will be guided into your parking space by the marshalls from cumbrianscoobs/Tyne_ Tees scoobs please follow them into your allocated slot for the day with parking resticted to 500 we will be parking you all in rows of 40

All cars must face the same way !!!
do not be the scoob who is back to front it will look silly

this will help with the fantastic photos on the day

We have made the decision to only let the scoobs in the main section of the field again for standards of photos

Our Large collections of EVOS;Skylines and 200 BHP
club will be parked next to the trade stands for us to ogle at.

The Trade stands include

Scooby world and Hayward and scott as usual Wendy and her staff will have their products on show to help us extend the UK debt with must-haves !! H & S will have their exhausts on show and if you want to order before hand please contact them ASAP so they wil fetch them up on the day to save you all on posting costs !!
and they will be donating 10% to the charity on the day !!!they will be fetching a couple of scoobs up on the day fully tooled up.

Peter from SPEC-R Alloy will be displaying their full range of under bonnet products
they will have TM EVO6 and a 22B Toyo Tyres showcar all with their bonnets up to make us drool .

Jamie at JW Racing will have his 2 showcars there with a wagon fully stocked up to make us skip our morgages and invest in scooby gear

Ian Armstrong from STAN PALMERS at Carlisle (which was the dealer of the year 2001) sold me my scooby and got me hooked ,
He will have a STI 8 stickered up with PPP and 18 wheels ,lowered PSS9 suspension by Bilsteen also he has his WRX with PPP
Meet the man himself and he is also fetching a van load of gear to sell wheels .clothing and parts from his stockroom !!

Simon from PSI-3 is fetching 4 cars up with the most talked about MOD at the moment the SECS unit this is the most exciting gadget you can get for a scooby and when you see it in the flesh you wont be leaving LW with out it !! i have the first one as he arrives in the field

John Wildings from Kendal and SG PETCH will be attending with their stickered up STI8 s and will be taking orders !!

Scoobynet will be there with T-shirts ,stickers and club membership and scooby shop details

The Raffle will be drawn at 2PM NO TICKET NO PRIZE !!!

You will be handed instrucions for the day as you arrive please read carefully and FILL OUT THE BACK and PUT IT IN YOUR DASHBOARD this will enter you in the car of the day competion and identify yourself to others we talk to on scoobynet and wonder what they look like


On the field there is a 5 MPH SPEED LIMIT for safety and no larking around ********************

Please can you make sure you take your litter home as the committee /marshalls will have been there since dawn and do not want to be faced with litter to pick up after the event .

on leaving the A1 there is lots of villages and rural roads heading towards LW while we all know how fast scoobys are i ask that you DO NOT SPEED

I do not want any accidents leading up to the NBO and the committee will not be held responsible for any incidents
also the police have been informed of the event but will not disclose where they have set up speed cameras etc so DONT SPEED

He is one of the< Cumbrian Posse >and will talk scoobys from dawn to dusk so see him for a chat on your requirements .

I have just counted up 41 seperate convoys driving up to see me at the NBO

it must be cos the mrs is modleing the subaru jacket ,T-shirt ,Prodrive book and the Afterburner exhaust system for the raffle

Cancer research will be collecting on the day and will be selling the raffle tickets so DIG DEEP #

please can you all fetch a pen to fill in your identity sheet to put on the dashboard !!!!

please dont embarrass yourself by asking for change out of a tenner for the raffle tickets !!!

Andrew from Grade A Subaru Breakers is fetching up his World Rally Impreza and he has also

donated a Subaru Heavyweight Jacket worth £150 for the raffle
although he wont be fetching up parts on the day as he has so many he will be available to discuss his current stock with you all on the day

there is strong rumours now that there will be at least 500 scoobys on the day and negotiations will be head tomorrow for even more space

Jamie at JW racing is donating the

JW Racing Car of the day award 2003 trophey along with a JW cap

this is a free competion open to all scoobys on the day entry is buy filling in the form on the reverse of the instructions given out as you enter the field

so PLEASE FETCH A PEN *******

there will be 10 judges who will select the best car in each row then the judges will have the final hard task of selecting the best one for the trophey the judges decision is FINAL
this is a fun event so start polishing NOW

the car will be photographed for a few magazines on collection of the trophey

 

Jamie from JW RACING will be displaying 3 cars on the day showing some of his products available along with a few bits to take away

He is also fetching along two Motorbikes for those who are keen bikers to show other things jamie does in his rapidly expanding company .

As we are in a middle of a field with no electric not all of our trade stands have credit card facilities on the day ,
you will need to discuss payment methods with the companys direct or take CASH (plenty) on the day .

AS this is a charity event with no charge to Cumbrianscoobs/Tyne tees scoobs for use of the field from Lightwater Valley the suppliers have made direct payment to LW ,please can you ensure that you use the LW catering facilities , a great choice and value for money !! there will be no <burger vans> on the field itself as part of the conditions of use of the field

Please can i ask that you do not TRADE ON THE FIELD **********

no selling crisps /pop face painting fortune telling or selling anything from boots of cars ************************

we will look at the situation for NBO 2004 but for this the first NBO all proceeds will go to charity

Any one found flouting these rules will be asked to leave and there proceeds will be donated to Cancer research !!!!!

on a lighter note a long range weather forcast has predicted a

4 days to go and i managed 2 hours sleep last night !

 

Due to failure to get a back up field and also due to insurance cover limited to 500 scoobs on the day if you dont post your name on the list 448 at present i cant guarentee parking for you all on the field ,the list was drawn up to work out parking for the marshalls and you have had over 5 months to list youselves

Hi everyone!

I've been given permission by Lordharding to post on this thread to tell you about how JW Racing will be involved!

We will be attending the NBO and will have a stand with 3 rather nice Scoobies, looking like something off 2 Fast 2 Furious with Mark's WRX, Martins WRX MY01+ with the JW Racing stage one package and we will be bringing the APS STi 8 with close to 400BHP! We will also have some info for all you Scooby/Biker types! Unfortunately our STi 7 has made its' last outing in its' present form, but it WILL be replaced with something even more manic in the next few weeks...

Of course we'll be selling loads of cool stuff from the JW Racing Slash Cut, Dawes Products, APS, dba, JR Filters, NOS Octane booster, lights and repeaters, Cusco braces, springs, Samcos, HKS, Blitz, Apexi, K & N, Ferodo, MRT, a selection of second hand items,the lot!

Lots of great offers are going to be available, and we will have a lot to show you as we are being backed by Magnex, APS, Ultra, JR Filters and Micron!

Speaking of Micron we will be officially launching the JW Racing bike website www.j-w-bike.com, our new online shop for Magnex/Micron www.performanceexhausts.net and www.dawesdevices.co.uk. We've been quite busy!

We will be judging the best car of show and will be giving the JW Racing 'Trophy' to the winner. The prize is a limited edition of two Subaru rally cars, autographed by Burns and Kankanan, the winner will also receive a JW Racing Cap and some stickers!!! So come on, get polishing!

I'm afraid we can't accept credit cards (except on pre orders of non stock items) on the day but cash will be happily excepted.
