Exclamation

We've got a track event booked at Knockill (only 2 hours from Newcastle area, less if your drive quickly ) on Saturday 8th March from 9am to 1pm.

Only £45 for 4 hour open pit lane if you are an SIDC member, £50 if you aren't. Nice twisty circuit, where the straights aren't too long, and maximum speeds are sensible.

Chances are it will be cold and wet, so trye and brake wear will be minimal on track.

Numbers are kept low to ensure quality track time (typically less than 10 cars out at a time!)

There's also cheap overnight accommodation available nearby if you want to make a Friday night of it as well (can recommend a good curry house or two!), or make it into a weekend stop over and stay the Saturday night as well.

Anyone interested ?

Hi John

Can't make that, bloody work commitments as usual!!
Hopefully I'll get to one later in the year as I've not been to Knockhill (going to Oulton park 5/4/03 maybe see you there??)

Just got a couple of questions for you whilst I'm on.

1) Any Kames days this year?

2) Any plans for a TDE this year? (maybe April/May if a few are going to the rally in Spain)

Cheers

Graham

Booking details - you can book online at SIDC Shop, or send me an e-mail and I'll reply with a booking form which you print off and return with a cheque.

Have a look at the Knockhill website www.knockhill.com, where they have nearby accommodation listed from £15 B&B to £90 hotels. A lot of people stay in the Queensferry Travel Inn/Lodge (never sure what the name is), as you can get a room for £43 per night, and have a couple of people share.

Graham,

yes the Kames dates are being sorted out this week some time. They'll be announced as soon as we get confirmation. Ideally they'll be interspaced with the Knockhill dates, so people can attend them all

Tour d'Ecosse - yes it will be going ahead this year, but we're not sure about the best dates. Early May is a possibility, but will depend on other events.

Cheers

John
