why the big snub
#1
why is it that people post on here they want to go on a run out and when aljack sorts one out nobody is intrested is it that you are all talkers and no action
it will only cost less than a full tank whats that about 40 quid
whats 40 quid to someone who as a car like these
if thats the case sell it and buy i diesel
i personaly think its because al says what he thinks and people on here are that far up themselves they snub his meets
if only everyone would take a leaf out of als book and stop trying to be politicaly correct all the time the world wouldnt be the way it is
now i expect some slaging of for this posting this but atleast its a start to people saying what they think instead of been fannys about things

I would have come as I love meeting Scooby owners and talking bobbins about cars but I am in West Cumbria so his Manchester meet was a bit of a trek.

Alan & Paul,
You are more than welcome to make the trek up to Cumbria when we organise our next run out (don't ask me when it is though )
Having been involved in putting a couple of runs together, I know how much effort goes into the route reccie and printing off loads of routes, etc so I too would be pretty pi$$ed if no-one turned up.
Keep your efforts up and, with a bit of notice, I'll try and russle up some Cumbrians to come down - it would be good to play on some different roads

Never give up in life!!!!!
one day soon your runs will spiral out of control like the RAID ACROSS THE BORDER ***
and now the NORTHERN BIG ONE *****
the scoobynet need people like yourselves to get runs sorted !!
maybe people worry about ice in winter?
i know the <cumbrian runs wont be starting much before april-may. we would be delighted if you could join us for the <season> also the NORTHERN BIG ONE in june needs lots of convoys organised.
dont discard the printed runs as the cumbrian scoobs will be coming to play

I dont think it is that Alan or Paul
I dont go on meets cos I nearly kill myself trying to keep up with you 4WDers in the MR2.
I think the main thing is lead time, and awareness. You announced the meet on the 22nd Dec, when most people were getting ready for Xmas. Hence they wont have checked Scoobynet til probably 28th Dec. You arranged the meet for the 19th Jan. It doesn't give people enough time to get ready for it, so they generaly think they wont be able to make it (even though they probably could).
Look at all the other meets, and you will see them announced months beforehand. You also need to promote them more in general, NSr etc to get the interest going.
Just my two pence worth - if you do another, i will try to get along to it

Haven't been on any runs, haven't complained about the lack of runs, was away for the weekend anyway.
Sorry it didn't go as planned, but maybe next time will be more of a success?
