Default dump valve or recirculation valve which is best ?

Hi everyone
I am the owner of a Subaru Impreza WRX UK model 2000/AWD turbo GT and was wondering If I should go for a dump valve ? or is the recirculation valve better already?
My Subaru had a re-mapping to 270bhp
I my goal is to have a fast acceleration
Thank you

On a serious note your scooby will run much smoother and happier with a recirculating item and not one that dumps to atmosphere
forge do one or stick to genuine

A dump to atmosphere dump valve definetley won’t make acceleration faster but might make you drive like an utter tosser through experience and doesn’t do anything for your acceleration apart from make it rougher

Hi, Zany , Thank you for your input, I think created this post in the wrong section I was hopping to get more opinions on it.
I will probably repost it in the Modification forum as well later on.
Thank you

what is the difference between the dual port bov does it help more than a normal bov other than it has two release valves for the boost pressure does it improve performance compared to the circulation valve that its on it from standard

It’s a grey area to be honest with the dumpvalves it’s all about what you want and how you wan5 your car to perform

im running an aps item that does both but not adjustable makes the noise aswell lol!

try going for a forge item if getting one imo
as I’ve tried them all even the cheap one above! so far only forge and aps for me

Technically speaking The recirc valve is the better option from a performance and engine health point of view but, to be honest only if you’re pushing serious power or chasing 10’s of a second.

The dump valve can can lead to momentarally rich running and a momentary drop off in spool but, as mentioned above, unless you’re chasing 10’s in a race situation, there’s bugger all difference. BOV will give pssssh and recirc can give nothing or stututututu - so pick your poison.
