Right this is a toughie.....


The vote seems to have gone to either friday evenings or sunday afternoons...


Well Squires which has been the only place proposed is going to be rather busy on a sunday afternoon...

So I propose having a Squires NYSOC meet on a friday evening.... starting from 7pm.


The reasoning behind this.... (deep breath)

First tuesday of the month is a massive jap car meet at squires

Last thursday of the month is the WYIOC meet

First monday of the month is the York Scoobs meet

so... friday evening could be a Squires meet... a convoy would leave York at 6-30pm from the Garage by the New College on Tadcaster Road.


THEN ......

The sunday one..... What about having a moving meet.... somebody proposes a pub in their area where for once a month or every other month we could all meet for sunday lunch and a natter..... this could be combined with a run out if people wanted to... as long as we knew where we were finishing....

right.. go on.... shoot <<<runs and hides>>>

An on-site reviewer for construction ... that was interesting getting told by 6ft bricklayers girls were not allowed on site lol....

And at present I do the admin side for our own roofing business

And thats about it lol

 

ha ha that is a list, i'm in construction although i'm not a bricklayer and can only dream of being 6ft

 

I used to visit building sites all over north yorkshire reviewing modern aprrentice trainees for bricklayers, stone masons, site joiners and bench joiners ... very interesting... girl in site boots hard hat high vis jacket and then I used to turn up on a motorbike lol

 

i know what you mean its like men on building sites have never seen a lady before, but to be honest i've been like that before too

lol... its a multiple vote Steve. you could vote for every choice if you wanted... but point taken

 

easier to keep meets to a specific date as if they vary not everyone can plan for alternate dates with work or family comitments.

but varying the pubs is a good plan indeed.

Looks the favourite Claire think others that are at work may want to vote what if we had a closing time say midnight for everybody to vote who wants to??

 

We've missed the first friday of September But we do have the Elvington Track Day this month and the Lunch is at the end of October so the beginning of the month might just be a good idea... and then the lunches at the end of the month when people get paid.....



Just realised if we have the October Lunch and then hold them every other month the next one would be a Christmas Do for us

Just wondering if there will be many turning out for a Friday night meet as it`s getting cold & it will soon be dark well before we meet up & have battled through the Friday night T time traffic?? !!!!

There wasn`t many at the last Hopgrove meet but not sure if that was down to Squires been the night after or the fact that it was dark by 8pm ? !!!

Personally, I`d prefer the Sunday afternoon monthly meet ups, when it`s light enough to admire each others cars & be able to see where we`re going if we decide to set off on a run to the coast etc !!!

Sorry for the late addition but been working away & not been online much this wk!!

Only my opinion & thoughts but looking forward to meeting up with everyone & well done Claire for organising this site....Top job !!

Thats okay Rally Driver.... I agree, but the venue Squires will be very busy with bikes on a sunday and nobody could come up with another venue.... Thats why there are going to be two meets..... One on a friday at Squires and then one every other sunday which will include lunch... of course people dont have to join us for lunch they can come for a drink only if they wished, that way everybody is accomodated....

 

Going to let this run until the end of this week and then we should make a decision, so all those that want to vote please do so

 

Any friday would be good for me. Only night i'd be able make a meet.
