Crimewatch always has a row of piccies of wanted criminals and ask viewers if they have seen any of them.

Quite often they will report at the end of the programme if any have been seen and say things like "This guy is known to be working in a particular area".

Well unless they have actually caught the guy then if he sees his face on telly he will just move on pdq.

So why do they reveal details?

Good question. Maybe there is a tactical reason why they do this. Perhaps to coax those in hiding to move on in the hope that they get recognised during their transition.

I preferred the old format with Nick Ross and Sue Cook. Kirsty is so wooden, and the dramatic music during reconstruction just gives the impression it's entertainment rather than a serious program to solve crimes as do the 'coming up' announcements.

And that Matthew Henrywolla-wolla bloke needs to buy some shirts with collars!
