Guys, filling in my tax self assessment online for the first time and come to the bit where they ask about the business itself, although I work for a company I am employed on a self employed basis ( taxi driver working for company ) are they looking for the name off the company , postcode etc or is it my own details they are looking for ie. name I trade under ( obviously go under the name off the main taxi company itself ) where I am based etc ?.. bit confused if anyone could offer any advice ??!!

 

I'm confused too...........if you are self employed then you work for yourself and I guess are not strictly an employee of the company. I guess you have no payslip with pay, tax, NI, pension etc.

Don't use their name, use somthing like jono300 travel or whatever you want to call yourself

 

Ring the inland revenue, they will help you
