Just had one of my weekly emails for the local police and shockingly out of 24 lorrys checked at junction 14 of the M1 12 were over weight. One had a dodgy window screen and another had illegal plates!

But back to being overweight. Who is to blame. The driver or the loader? I guess lorrys have weight limits for safety and to prevent parts of the lorry failing but does a few grammes over really matter?

I'm shocked at the high numbers btw

 

I guess if the drivers laid off the pies, full english breakfasts, chips, etc. then yeah they might not be so overweight.

As for being overweight, nearly all trucks have weight monitors in them these days sop no excuses there either.
