Taken from Jordans website.

"The Jordan Honda EJ12 can accelerate from 0-100mph and brake to a standstill (0-100-0) in 5.8 seconds."

At a guess I would say about 9 seconds, but that is purely a guess based on an article I read about 10 years back in Fast Car when they pitted a Williams against a Metro 6R4!! The Williams did 0-60 in about 2.3 secs.

Search on Google and you should find it though.

Given that the Jordan has never been the fastest car either perhaps a Ferrari/Williams/Mclaren could knock another tenth off that. Either way its bloody impressive. I still want to see a superbike pitted against an F1 car.

Anyone ever see the Mclaren Mercedes demo where they started an A class off at Silverstone (I think), then something like a 230 then a 5 litre S class or similar. 1min30secs after the A class had started (and about 45 after the S class) David Coulthard was still reading the paper and sipping tea. He then casually got into his car, the crew started the engine and he sped off. He finished the lap ahead of all cars LOL.

P1fanatic,

F1 against GP bike has been done, I think it was in Ireland but can't quite remember. Anyway I recall that the F1 car killed the bike, the bike just could not keep up round the cicuit. I will try to find the details and post them.

I was watching the Motogp coverage the other day and they where saying that Valentino Rossi was breaking for a particular corner on the RC211V Honda at 160 metres and that Schumi was breaking, for the same corner, at the 50 metre mark

A zx6r can do 0-70-0 in around 6 and half secs, but an F1 car will always destroy any bike.

One massive advantage amoungst many, Downforce allowing them to break later, corner harder etc.. etc.. Bikes still rule the real world in terms of perfromance, but not on a track against an 800bhp wing !!!

Anybody see the latest MCN with the R1 powered road legal sidecar that does 0-112 in 3.1 Sec !! that might get near an F1 in a straight line !!
