Default Got ants in my house

Found the odd ant crawling around the hallway last week and eventually found a gap in the tile grout at the foot of the stairs. Tipped some powder down and forgot about it... Last night we found more in the lounge but can't find where they are getting in. I guess they are in the cavity wall. Nightmare.
Not sure what we're going to find when we go downstairs today. I just hope they don't end up in the kitchen cupboards .

Going to have a big clear out in a bit. Happy Easter

Nick

We get ants every year. Nests in the garden and we just put powder down. I've found unless you spend serious wonga you'll never get rid totally so just combat it as and when.

Boil the kettle and pour it. Down the hole and watch them boil

Ant lacquer forms a barrier that they will not cross. When you find where they are coming in from outside then cut off their route with it. If they're not coming in from outside then you have a problem.

I used to paint creosote into the cracks between paving and house every Spring, and never saw an ant.

The new stuff doesn't work
