Girlfriends late with her tax,again
Think she paid off including interest fine etc about April last year
This year could go straight to debt collection company??
Is money paid to revenue in bits down the drain??!!

Depends on the debt.
They said we hadn't filed our return one year, so "fined" us £100, which we disputed and refused to pay.
Next year it went to £200. We still refused to pay.
In the third year, they found our previous submission...and cancelled the debts and gave US £75.
I really do think they make it up as they go along.
And I'm heartily sick of the way they will chase the little tax-payer from one end of the country to the other for £100, or less, yet write off huge taxes owing by big companies.
Oh...wait...the little tax-payer isn't in a position to offer ex-government ministers nice directorships, is he/she?
