Tesco Special Offer, Half Price Chocolates.

Talking about Tesco, there was a funky chutney they refused to sell to me lately. Upon asking why, they didn't have a clue. They just said they needed to remove it from the shelf. Obviously, there was something dodgy in it.
Our nearest town's Tesco doesn't sell iPhone, but according to the news, a Tesco store had an iPhone on display with it's Siri telling children customers to eff off and twohats etc.
Tesco was, is, and hopefully will be a scandalous superstore as long as it exists.

Tesco's are old hands at this.
the first time I ever saw an example of "Price: £1.99, get two for £4.50" was in there. I reported it to the lady on the complaints desk, she said it would be changed. two days later; still there.
Now they are rife with it, you can find half a dozen examples every visit. Once is a mistake. More than once is theft, pure and simple.
I REALLY ought to have got Trading Standards involved.
I no longer use them except in an emergency, or if they have a very attractive offer on stuff like coffee.
Even their fuel is usually dearer than Sainsways. And their much vaunted "Spend £50 in store, get 5p off a litre", is always presaged by a 3p a rise at the pumps which stays on for a couple of weeks afterwards.
Trust Tesco? Not me.
