Anyone know anything about selling canal boats?
My mate and I have a widebeam canal boat we need to shift, it's at a marina and is up for sale, but I wonder if anyone here knows any good places to advertise it.
I confess to knowing little about selling canal boats.... it's a long story as to how I come to own it in the first place... the things you decide to do to help people LOL!
Anyway any help is appreciated.
P.S. I know I asked this before a good while ago but I can't seem to find the thread!

Yeah we decided to keep it and rent it out for a year, but nothing came of it with one thing and another so now we need rid of it.... I don't think renting holiday canal boats has that much of a future given our weather these days.

Not wanting to de-rail a seriious thread, But I have this weird pipe-dream of fitting two Evinrude/johnson 2 stroke V8s on the back of a barge and then see what it'll do.
(Probbaly not much speed-wise, but it'll sound awesome down a canal tunnel )

A modern 150-200 merc optimax would be a little more easy on the wallet to fuel.
I used to run a boats and jetski classified website a few years ago and there are special canal boat brokerage businesses that would sell or buy your boat. google canal boat brokerage and see where it takes you.

Seriously I think the speed limit is about 5 mph on the canal.
With regards to the selling of the boat, i'll ask the in laws, they are on their second yet, and I know that advertised it in a few places.
Not sure if it will help, but if you look on the British Waterways website, maybe that will have a few links to websites that might help you out?
