Nice and simple -just the two options

You either do, or you don't.

What a crap question. For a start, how about making the question unbiased.

Not possible - everyone's definition differs.
To me its something I'm not at all comfortable with, and what I see as not 'normal'
Others see it as perfectly 'normal' and that's also fine.
If you're unsure that its 'normal', then in my option you answer no, or don't bother answering at all - entirely down to you.

If you can't define the poll so that the question is the same for everyone then it is meaningless no?

In all honesty I don't have a problem with gays, however, I would have reservations if for example my children's school decided to do a production on Romeo and Jullian.

"Do I think homosexuality is completely acceptable in today's society?" the answer has to be no. It is obvious from the mega-thread that it is not completely acceptable at all, there will always be people obsessed with the sex lives of other men...

"Do I personally have a problem with homosexuality?" is an entirely different question. The answer to that one is I couldn't give a toss (no pun intended) to what consenting adults get up to in their spare time.

I refuse to answer the poll on the grounds that the question is misleading

Woohoo.... a reference at last to the fact women can be homosexual too... something our little friend seems to forget when offloading his hatred!

The poll is a load of nonsense btw.

a) No definition of acceptable

b) The use of the word completely to bias it

c) This is SN where (as Martin points out) the country would be led by a UKIP/BNP coalition if the pre-election poll conducted in here was to be believed!

Anyway crack on!

P.S. Think you may have shot yourself in the foot making it a public poll too!

Or is that you get out clause if the result doesn't go the way you want?

I've put yes BUT I do not believe gay couples should be allowed to adopt or have surrogate children. I'm sorry, it just doesn't sit right with me and I'm unlikely to change my opinion.

I'll be honest, if two blokes were snogging away whilst sitting next to me in a restaurant or something, yes I would feel uncomfortable.

But that's my problem I guess, not theirs.

You can't have this sort of opinion. The UK do-gooders won't allow it.

For the record, I completely agree. I just don't get how they can really really want children but not be with a woman. Makes no sense to me.
On the other hand, there are many male/female couples that don't deserve to have kids of their own.

I agree, but would also find in unacceptable for a man and women to be chomping each others face off

You really need a third option...

3 - I couldn't give a toss about your poll

I think that one would be a clear winner

I pointed this out a long time ago when the topic was brought up.
It seemed to make you have a parkinsons attack again on the ! key again

Oh, and I don't have any hatred by the by - that's just something else you've either made up, or assumed

Totally agree with that.
Although if it was two fit girls, carry on!

Only the other day did the mrs admit to having a major girl crush on Pink.

I can live with that.

No I just recall these gems from the past:

Or your tacit agreemnet with this lovely thought:

They act the way they do because gayness is actually a form of mental retardation which makes them act like spazzes. It's pure fact.
No hatred there

yep, just basic manners and common sense, nothing to do with "gayness"

also with regard to the question posed

a good way of testing then validity of the wording would be so pose the same question but just changing a word

so you have

Do you think hetrosexualty is completely acceptable -- and this is obviously nonesense

i still think people have a problem differentiating the "Graham Norton" effect with homosexuality

I find Graham Norton irritating - and the screechy look at me types - both gay and non gay

being gay is not an issue, being irritating is
