Faulty goods.....<2 years old, refund?
#1
Both my oven and washing machine have broken this week. I bought them in August 2000, new as apart of my new property.
Does the sale of goods act cover me for compensation from the builder for repair cost?
I have wriutten to the builder & they are considering my claim.
Thanks
Matt.

Which Magazine did something about this some time back. They argued that even though a 12 month warranty had expired white goods should last longer than this. They took a couple of cases to the manufacturers where products had broken down within 2 years and the manufacturers coughed up for repairs.

Have a look at the Citizen's Advice Bureau's website If you can't find what you want, I would suggest giving them a ring and checking. I reckon you've got a good case personally.
