A couple of Timmy Taylor's in Hertford followed by a glass of white with the chicken liver parfait and then a robust merlot with the filet mignon. Might push the boat out and have a Gentlemans portion of Quinta de Vargellas 1987 with the cheeseboard. :-)
Didn't realise you were that local Jods. I visited the Raj last night, after a few pints in the Saracens.
Oi oi fitz. I live in Welwyn garden city. It was a great night. We tried Baroosh but it was WAY too loud. Decamped to the back bar at the Salisbury Arms which was much more my cup of tea. Had a pint of seasonal ale then went to Lussmanns. The waitress was STUNNING. Food was good also.
JW red lable for me, had a heavy night last night, first one in a while so i'll only be having the one after my jamaican curried chicken and rice thats been cooking for the last 2 hrs and is falling off the bone nicely, just letting it settle and cool off a bit before i tuck in after this post. yum yum.
well i had that curry,we had to send it back twice as it wasnt hot enough,it was packed with scotch bonnets and ghost chilli's-was hot in the end tho i had ring sting the next day

You should try the Salisbury on a Sunday for a roast.
I ate in Lussmanns the other week, I wonder if you're talking about the same waitress we had?!
I have mixed feelings about Baroosh. During the day time it's fine, however at night its a pain in the *** to get a drink. I'd probably head over to the Hertford House Hotel, and if it's a messy late one, head downstairs to Elberts.
If you like curry, the Raj in Hertford is about the best I've had. Plenty of other big, flashy indian restaurants, but the Raj has never dished up a poor curry to me.
