Activity weekend <3hrs drive from Reading?

Taking the new missus away on the weekend of the 17th. We'd like to do some quad-biking, hiking, maybe some climbing etc. Can you recommend any decent places for this that aren't a million miles away from Reading? Would need somewhere with decent accommodation and pref. a good restaurant too!
