Dukes of Hazzard style getaway route

Most useful if you are travelling London-bound.

Question

Does anyone know if the shortcut is still open there ?

A couple of years ago, you used to be able to go in the services, stick to the left on the exit and out of the services onto a road next to the M4. You could then turn right, go over the M4 on the brodge, turn right again and through a service yard and into the eastbound services, and back up the motorway !!

Only if you're leaving London, if you're inbound, you have to (legally ) go onto the M4 Elevated section and off at J2 (Brentford) & round the Chiswick r/about before getting back on the elevated & out again. 5 or 6 miles eachway & imbuggerance
