Middlesbrough's result - keenly watched because of the presence of Ray "Robocop" Mallon - is due at about noon on Friday.

Correction, he did..
"The former police superintendent Ray "Robocop" Mallon swept to power as Middlesbrough's first elected mayor with a warning he will make every councillor represent the public's interests. "

Faaaaaaan-taaaaaaaaaas-tic!!!!
I hope that RoboCop manages to stitch up every one of the corrupt members of "the establishment" that previously stabbed him in the back for reducing crime by a MASSIVE amount.
I believe there were around FOUR TIMES as many people that voted for RoboCop (26,000?) compared with the next (Labour?) guy.
Seems like the majority of the locals know what they want!!

I read an article about operation lancet. Basically the reason they were suspended was for 'unfair questioning of a number of suspects' It appears that unfair involved falling down the stairs in the back of a police car etc etc. I think this is totally fair. If you get in a position where you get flung in a panda, then you should at least look out for stairs and sharp edges
